To truly celebrate innovation, you should reflect innovation. Technological advances are the very core of Siemens, but rather than being shown off to their full extent, some messages were being lost in a less-than-cutting-edge newspaper style publication.
We heard Siemens' call for a new era of company-wide communication and responded by creating a stylish, groundbreaking magazine and online microsite that celebrate and emulate the business' advances. Our approach to innovation isn't discussed purely in terms of technology, it's brought to life by showing advances in context. So a hand-held ultrasound scanner isn't just a marvel of microtechnology, it's placed in the hands of the paramedic whose potential to saves lives has increased with the ability to take accurate, on-the-spot diagnostics.
The magazine and microsite work in harmony to engage and inform Siemens employees in the UK. Being quarterly, the magazine has forward-looking and in-depth content, covering global themes and discussion topics that hold longer-term interest, while the online offering is regularly updated and features immediate news in punchy, interactive formats.
This allows content to cross communication channels. The content isn't duplicated, it's shaped to adapt to the mechanisms it appears in, giving the audience the opportunity to view and respond to fresh and exciting messages in a way that suits their communication needs.
