National Grid awards Summersault Communications magazine brief
The National Grid, one of the world's premier network utility companies, providing management of large and complex energy delivery networks, has awarded the contract to publish its quarterly magazine Gridline to Summersault Communications, a leading employee, customer and business publisher which works for top FTSE 500 and public sector clients across the UK.
The agency was selected by The National Grid to produce, publish and distribute the magazine following a competitive tender. Distributed to more than 32,000 members of the public who have National Grid equipment on their land, Gridline will be published on a monthly basis.
Clare White, National Grid land & development policy manager said: "We have a diverse readership who are all joined by a common experience. We needed a publication that was going to grab people's attention and be used as a reference tool throughout the year. The Summersault team came up with a high quality magazine format that really hit the mark. Feedback from grantors has been very positive."
Gail Franks, managing director of Summersault Communications, commented, "We are delighted to be working with the National Grid. This contract further strengthens our portfolio of dedicated public facing magazines. This is also the third major utility contract that we have won in the last year enhancing our reputation for excellence in communications in this sector."
The magazine will be distributed to members of the public known as grantors who have either pylons or gas pipes situated on their land. The magazine will cover information on other grantors, updates on National Grid projects and other grantor community issues. The readership includes agricultural landowners, national landowners such as the Ministry of Defence and the National Trust, and urban grantors such as city councils.
